Dr. S. Gurumurthy, pioneer of Hindu Sprituial and Service Organisation, in his inaugural address began by highlighting Swamis’s Mission specifically for service activities which goes hand in hand with spirituality such as Super Speciality Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Drinking Water Projects etc.
We commenced with chanting of three Omkars, followed by lighting the Lamp chanting with Ganapati and Saraswati Vandana. The beautifully arranged and decorated altar of our beloved Bhagwan was a sight to see, which attracted visitors to our stall. The stall contained pictorial depiction of the life and message our Swami viz., predictions of the Divine Avatar by ancient Saints, Swami’s contribution to humanity in Medical and Educational activities at Puttaparthi and Bangalore , Education, Medical , BalVikas and other seva activities carried out at various seva Samitis in Gujarat state and also at National level. Two Super Speciality Hospitals(at Puttaparthy and White field), Sri Sathya Sai University(at Puttaparthy), Delhi(Sri Sathya Sai International Centre), Hyderabad(Shivam), Mumbai(Satyam at Dharmaksetra), Chennai(Sundaram), Kodaikenal(Sai Shruti) and Shimala(Sai Anand Vilas) were also depicted.
The stall was open to public from 10 am to 8 pm which was managed by two Gents and two Mahila Sevadals in two shifts, who were deployed at the stall for explaining the purpose of Sai Avatar and His mission . Many visitors were surprised to know about Swami’s contribution in village adoption, water projects and medical seva. For those who were keen to know more about our organization, three Sevadals were deployed to forward ‘pdf file “ containing Swami’s life and mission through mobile whatsapp ,as the distribution of printed pamphlet was eliminated, to be in line with “Eco friendly” mission of the Government. A book stall was also arranged within the stall.
There was a continuous flow of visitors in our stall, throughout the day, who gave enthusiastic hearing to our sevadals in the stall who explained Swami’s Avatar mission and Seva activities at various places across the country. On all four days, two hours bhajan session was held by the bhajan group from Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara samitis.
About 8 Gents and 8 Mahila sevadals offered round the clock seva in frontline at the stalls and about 5 Gents and 5 mahila sevadals offered the seva in arranging Sai Prasad, both in the morning and evening, to the visiting Sai devotees from various districts of Gujarat state.
With the Divine Grace of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Organizing committee of the fair declared Third position to our Organisation out of 300 and odd Organisations who participated in this Fair.The event concluded at about 2.30 pm on 08.01.2018, with Aaarti to Swami.
Around 10,000 visitors visited our stall and around 800 PDF files were forwarded.
